This product is Certified 100% organic by Ecocert Greenlife to Cosmos Standard and ideal for organic formulations. Our Organic Candelilla Wax uses natures resources responsibly whilst applying harvesting and processing practices that are 100% sustainable.
Candelilla wax is derived from the leaves of the candelilla plant (Euphorbia antisyphilitica or Euphorbia cerifera) and is naturally yellow in colour and brittle, making it a popular choice for coating/glazing and also as a binding agent within blends. The plant is processed using natural citric acid (not sulphuric acid). Citric acid is a weak acid naturally found in fruits, like lemons.
This premium product provides peace of mind for customers who want to ensure responsible sourcing.
Our Organic Candelilla wax can be used for cosmetic and food applications, or as a plant based alternative to beeswax. It’s also used in a variety of other specialty applications as soap-making, leather and furniture polish.
